Safety Consultant
DFW SAFETY & FIRST AID offers complete Safety Director and Safety Consultant Services to help your company implement and support a comprehensive safety program that is fully OSHA compliant.
Safety Director Services
Because of the considerable requirements of compliance with OSHA regulations, and the legal and financial liabilities that can result from noncompliance, it is best to have a certified Safety Director who has extensive experience. This is what DFW Safety & First Aid provides.
PROBLEM:
Small to mid-size companies have the same requirements for health and safety compliance as large companies. Minimal resources can make it cost-prohibitive to hire a full-time Safety Director. Often, these tasks are assigned as a secondary responsibility to someone who has minimal or no experience in the safety field. Often, safety programs are not maintained, are incomplete, and lead to increased accidents, lost-time injuries, costly workers’ compensation insurance premiums, lost productivity and exposure to liability and OSHA fines for non-compliance to regulatory health and safety laws.
SOLUTION:
DFW SAFETY & FIRST AID offers on-site, complete third party Safety Director services to help your company implement and support a fully compliant safety program. We work with a wide array of businesses and have a deep understanding of the OSHA Regulations and how to apply them to specific work environments. We understand that one size does not fit all and will tailor safety programs to the OSHA requirements of your specific industry and business.

We provide the following services:
Worksite hazard inspections
Review of current safety programs
Strategy for complete written programs
Establish training programs conducted on site and online
Documentation that tracks retraining requirements
Recordkeeping and signage
Establish the foundation for a sustainable safety culture and compliance with OSHA regulations and reporting requirements
Safety Compliance Matters – A Case Study
One of our clients, a large manufacturing firm, received a surprise OSHA Inspection prompted by an employee complaint notifying OSHA of hazards in their workplace. OSHA completed the inspection and found numerous violations resulting in significant fines in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. (This company had no established safety program to ensure safety and compliance with OSHA requirements.)
The client reassigned a long-term employee to the role of Safety Director, although she did not have any specific training and background in Safety. DFW Safety & First Aid was hired to assist in supporting the new Safety Director. We began with routine workplace hazard inspections, developed and implemented specific, required Safety Programs/Policies and implemented a schedule of routine instructor-led and interactive on-line safety training with documentation.
Additionally, we provided guidance in establishing a functioning Safety Committee and attended scheduled safety committee meetings to review accidents, site inspections, and develop hazard abatement measures.
After several years of work, the company is now fully compliant with OSHA Regulations, accidents and injuries are significantly reduced and a culture of safety is firmly embedded in the day-to-day operations of this company. As quoted by a senior executive in this company, DFW Safety & First Aid has become a “Partner” not a “Vendor” in helping them to become a better company.
We strive to partner with our clients to establish safer, healthier work environments with a demonstrable return on investment. This helps you to become a better company to work for and to do business with; and that provides better returns for your shareholders.
